Abortion is Murder
Abortion should be illegal because it is terminating the life that resides within a potential human being. It is never justified to take the life of anyone, and let alone someone who committed no wrong-doing. The baby who is inside can not make any decisions and is being killed for something it can not prevent or help.

The point of conception is when the baby is grasping onto his or her first breaths. It becomes a living organism as soon as the sperm has penetrated the wall of the egg. This means that even if an abortion happens very early in the first trimester it would still be killing a living thing. Some people believe that if you achieve an abortion before a certain number of weeks, then you have a chance of removing it while it still has no life. But that common belief is not true.

A human being (the mother) is taking another human being’s life (the child.) Why is it that in any other situation but this that would be called first degree murder? The mother should not have the authority whatsoever to choose the fate of her unborn child. The child has rights at the point of conception. These human rights are being abridged by these decisions that the unfaithful mother does.

The child has no voice or say in this whatsoever. How can we choose whether he live or die. Just because the mother says that she has the choice, doesn't mean she has the right to kill. The child who is in the womb of the mother has not done anything wrong or deserving of death, but because of the situation that the mother is in the child has to die. The child is damned to perpetual death because of his mother. The child is at the complete mercy of the parents and should not have to be.

Abortion Poses a Threat to the Mother's Health

Picture
Most abortions have an immediate side effect. It is possible that you may experience these side effects for up to 2 to 4 weeks following the procedure. Abdominal pain, cramping, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Spotting, and Bleeding are anticipated side effects following an abortion.

Although some serious complications only occur in less than 1 out of 100 first trimester abortions and approximately 1 out of every 50 late term abortions; it is of great concern to consider the serious side effects from abortion. Heavy or persistent bleeding, Infection or sepsis, Damage to the cervix, Scarring of the uterine lining, Perforation of the uterus, Damage to other organs, or Death.

It is important to understand these adverse effects that are sure to follow an abortion. An abortion may also pose a risk to the mother's fertility. It may affect her and leave her emotionally scarred.

Consider This Life.

Picture
The heart of your child began in 18-25 days.  The brain waves that the child produces begins at 40 days.

Your baby squints, swallows and can make a fist after 11 weeks.

Your baby has fingerprints, and can kick - and is sensitive to heat, light, touch and noise after 11 weeks.

Your baby is sucking his or her thumb, weighs 1 ounce and is 2 1/2 to 3" long, and would fit comfortably in the palm of your hand after 11 weeks.

An Abortion Affects the Whole Family

Picture
One ultimate decision that the mother makes is transmitted throughout her whole family. The family is affected by her decision to abort her baby. A small percentage of families are unaware that the mother in the family has taken up the risk of aborting her unborn child. How will she tell her children that she has purposely murdered her own child?

When is it Necessary

Abortion can only be justified when the baby, as is in the womb, poses a severe threat to the mother's health.
Abortion can also be justified when there is no hope for the fetus to survive under its conditions.

Alienated Rights

Picture
Aren't we all human beings? The government protects our rights and guarantees the sanctity of their protection. One of our most basic freedoms such as right to Life, Property, Liberty, and Freedom, is being violated right now. Living, breathing, and heart-beating life is within the womb of someone and that person decides to end the life of the child. The child, has rights at the point of conception. His or her right to life is being taken away. His or her liberty as a human being and freedom to be born are being alienated by the unjust decisions of the mother. That is why the government must put an end to abortion.

If it's Supposed to be a Woman's Choice...

Picture
Where in the Constitution do we have the right to kill?

Past Perception

Back then, abortion seemed like a ticket out of hardship. People would commonly get an abortion to escape the work needed to be done by a mother. It was also easier to get an abortion. In most cases, if a teenager had gotten pregnant, her parents were never notified on the abortion. Now, stricter abortion laws are in place to ensure knowledge of the situation. Some people like the idea of living the easy life. But they have to remember, what seems easy, may not be just.

No matter what there will always be people who support abortion. They have yet to fully realize the harm they are doing for themselves and others. Let us put this in terms of choice and use the government as an example. There has to be a balance between the governmental powers and the powers that me and you share. When we are given too much powers, then we will often do what feels good and cause chaos. If the government has too much power then we will not have our rights ensured. A women cannot be sovereign over her own body if she has a
child and plans to abort it. The government has a responsibility to ensure the rights of that innocent child. Making abortion illegal creates that balance.

Unfair Decision

Imagine if you had a mental disability or was mute. In most cases, you are unable to make decisions for yourself. And let us say that your parents had decided to not keep you anymore. This situation is unfair because you have no say in this, or had no voice to make your own decisions. This unfairness, applies to abortion as well. This unfairness, is why abortion should not be legalized.

Parallels between Abortion and Slavery

Picture
Slavery in centuries past and abortions in this century were defended and promoted by the same arguments. Consider the case in the USA: In 1857, in the Dred Scott case, the US Supreme Court decided, by a 7 to 2 majority, that according to the US Constitution, black people were not legal persons. They were the property of the owner. He could buy, or sell, or even kill them. Abolitionists had objected. The ruling was outrageous, they said. It was immoral and discriminated against an entire class of living persons solely on the basis of skin colour. But those who supported slavery argued that if those who had a moral objection to slavery, didn't have to own slaves. No one was forcing them to own slaves. But they also said: "Don't force your morality on the slave owner. He has the right to choose to own slaves if he wishes."

In a very similar decision just over one hundred years later, in 1973, in the Roe vs Wade Decision, the US Supreme Court decided that according to the US Constitution, by the same 7 to 2 majority, that unborn people were not legal persons. They had no civil rights, no human rights and were therefore, legally the property of the owner (the mother). She had the absolute legal right to keep or destroy her unborn baby. Pro-life people objected. The ruling was outrageous, they said. It was immoral and discriminated against an entire class of living people solely on the basis of age (too young) and place of residence (the womb). But those who support abortion argue that those who have a moral objection to abortion, don't have to have abortions. The pro-abortionists say: "No one is forcing you to have an abortion. But don't force your morality on the mother. She has a
right to choose to kill her developing baby if she wishes."

Abraham Lincoln in the 19th century said: "No one has the right to do what is wrong."

This country has just ended discrimination based on race. Are we now going to start discrimination on the basis of age? Saying:"I'm older than you, I'm bigger than you, I have a voice - therefore I can kill you."

Is this a Human Life?

As have seen, the answer clearly is Yes. That answer is a medical and scientific one, for we cannot impose a religious or philosophic belief in our nations through force of law.

Pro-Life 10 Commandments

1. No civilized society permits one human to intentionally harm or take the life of another human without punishment, and abortion is no different.

2. Abortion must not be used as a way of contraception.

3. Since life begins at conception, abortion is akin to murder as it is the act of taking human life. Abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of the sanctity of human life.

4. Adoption is a viable alternative to abortion and accomplishes the same result. And with 1.5 million American families wanting to adopt a child, there is no such thing as an unwanted child.

5. An abortion can result in medical complications later in life; the risk of ectopic pregnancies doubles, and the chance of a miscarriage and pelvic inflammatory disease also increases.

6. In the instance of rape and incest, proper medical care can ensure that a woman will not get pregnant. Abortion punishes the unborn child who committed no crime; instead, it is the perpetrator who should be punished.

7. Abortion frequently causes intense psychological pain and stress.

8. For women who demand complete control of their body, control should include preventing the risk of unwanted pregnancy through the responsible use of contraception or, if that is not possible, through abstinence.

9. Those who choose abortions are often minors or young women with insufficient life experience to understand fully what they are doing. Many have lifelong regrets afterwards.

10. Many Americans who pay taxes are opposed to abortion, therefore it's morally wrong to use tax dollars to fund abortion.

Is this Just?

Making Unnecessary Abortion Illegal Produces Good Morals

Abortions use to be seen as just, but with awareness raised, it is easy to see why it is immoral. With abortion legalized, this encourages teenagers to be more rowdy and thus easier to become succumbed to pregnancy because they know they have a way out. We need to set an example to our teenagers today in this society. With teenagers knowing that there is no abortions, then they will be discouraged to have sexual relations.  Also, there can be a chance that they will behave better.

Banning Unnecessary Abortion, One of the Most Greatest Decisions Ever Made

Picture
Banning Abortion means recognizing rights. We observe the most basic freedom of all which is LIFE. The government with its ban on abortion will be preserving life, which it as a functional government has to do. Not only is abortion a grotesque and heinous crime, but it is a vile objection to all of morality. People will make better decisions with abortion out of the way. People have yet to understand that there are alternatives to abortion. Adoption is a viable alternative to abortion and accomplishes the same result. And with 1.5 million American families wanting to adopt a child, there is no such thing as an unwanted child.
